Mary Mbaka

Mary Mbaka is a Kenyan social entrepreneur, prison officer, and founder and coach of Hearts of Ruiru Sports Centre, a community-based football initiative established in 2012 in Ruiru, Kiambu County. With a Bachelor of Technology Education in Electrical & Electronics from Moi University (2009), she has used her experience playing in the Kenya Women Premier League and coaching training through international sports ministries to build a thriving youth program. Mary leverages football as a transformative platform to mentor over 100 vulnerable children aged 9–18, many from unstable, low-income families to deter drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, and school dropouts while promoting life skills, education, and rehabilitation .
