Judy Cheburet

There was a high number of rising cases of gender based violence in the country and it seemed like nobody understood what was happening except the very few people especially the women. So Judy decided to randomly ask school going girls if they knew anything about their rights and what gender based violence is, and to her shock nobody had an idea on what it was or a clear understanding about it. Considering where she came from and the culture and traditions there, girls tend to be timid and not have a voice as far as development and society is concerned. She saw this as a problem that needs to be addressed. So she decided to give girls a voice and urge them to speak up whenever they face an issue and not to be gagged by harmful culture and traditions.
