Renee Makau is a mature vibrant dynamic Kenyan, professionally trained in Media Broadcast and a passionate Creative at heart. She has over eleven years of mainstream media experience – both in Kenya and South Sudan. Across her colorful career, she has worn many hats including that of Senior On-Air Presenter & Radio Manager with CAPITAL FM 89 Juba.

 The Kenyan Creative Industry cut her professional teeth and saw her handle projects and assignments across Production Management, Film, Marketing, Advertising, Events and Administration that have built up a unique skill set which continues serving her well in her career.

At the moment, Renee is based at Royal Media Services (Citizen) which houses the countryā€™s biggest national broadcast and Digital brands. She handles Corporate Affairs for Royal Media (RMS) – managing and executing strategic sponsorship & partnership projects under the Group Marketing Director, aimed at furthering building brand equity across various audiences and publics. Part of this docket includes managing strategic CSR partnerships Royal Media has locked down across health, education, environment & conservation, social awareness and the arts.

Renee holds a Bachelors Degree in Social Communication from Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and Diploma in Journalism and Media Studies from the Institute of Commercial Management (ICM) in the UK

Renee also happens to be a seasoned Corporate MC and Creative in the voiceover industry several years. Her personal motto is Go Hard or Go Home!

Fatma also has a personal initiative to offer mentorship to young girls, providing dignity packs to young girls as well as providing psychosocial support and househouse levels. Through her initiative she has been working closely with other stakeholders in the education sector including teachers and community focal persons.

The organization also goes an extra mile to rescue other children in need ,this include the street children and those whose parents are drug addicts and fail to perform their parental responsibilities.

She founded Ada Animation in September 2020,a pan-African Animation studio headquartered in Kenya that seeks to build a thriving industry in Africa that will in turn create employment for the youth and catalyze wealth creation opportunities. The studio is also present in two other countries: UK and South Africa. Her studio is the first in Kenya and one of the few in Africa that has successfully execute an all animation capacity building programme. Ada Animation Bootcamp is a three-month hybrid programme that provides ambitious African animators with the necessary skills, tools, mentorship and a platform to create their own stories and earn from them.
