Ann Wambui #WambuiWa Ciana, is an advocate of GBV and founder of Neema GBV Rescue centre. She is also the Zuri Award hero in Young Achievers Category year 2023 where she won a trophy/Award

Having resigned from employment as a Banker at Bank of Africa, together with my team we started Neema GBV Rescue Centre in 2019

Currently I serve in: –

• County & National Gender Equality Children Rights Technical Committee
• In partnership with the Centre for Rights, Education and Awareness (CREW)

Achievements

• 2023: Zuri Award – Young Achievers category – 2023. This was in recognition of exceptional work in bringing change through my work in my community – Nyeri.
• 2023: Certificate in recognition among 100 women recognized during Women’s history in the month of March 2023 by the Executive Director – International Renaissance Centre
• 2024: Recognition Certificates: –
  • (1) County Government of Nyeri – Department of Gender, Youth, Sports and social Services This was in recognition for outstanding work with GBV Survivors and Orphans
  • Brand Awards -Nyeri Edition Whereby Neema GBV Rescue Centre emerged the winner in community impact – held at Nyeri Golf Club on 7th June 2024
