She would invite friends and we would in turn go plant trees; a few became a crowd, and they blossomed into a tree planting movement commanding crowds of up to 100 persons, cris-crossing the counties, meeting communities and planting trees.

Her legacy is one of nurturing not just crops and livestock, but people, hope, and possibility across Kenya’s agricultural landscape.

OAS builds the capacity of women in poultry feed formulation using black soldier fly larvae(BSFL) as the key protein ingredient. They have a demonstration farm where we use organic waste as substrate to rear BSFL. They hold trainings on their farm where women poultry farmers are trained on integrating Black Soldier fly Larvae with poultry so as to lower their production cost.
