Ann Muriuki

Anne Muriuki is the founder and CEO of Binti Mwangaza, a community-based organization in Laikipia, Kenya, committed to ending period poverty and empowering girls. Since 2012, she has led efforts to provide reusable sanitary pads and menstrual health education to over 5,000 girls, helping reduce school dropout rates and early pregnancies in rural and pastoral communities.

Through fundraising, mentorship, and advocacy, Anne has broken taboos around menstruation and championed girls’ right to education and dignity. Her work has earned recognition for its grassroots impact, bridging the gap between health, education, and gender equality.
